Not exactly the greatest camerawork or audio, but here's an interesting clip of Marco playing a Del Vecchio Dynamico Violao Tenor! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vJ5Nd0s-NM) Verrrry cool!
[edit] Ack, of course emando.com beat me to this... #Oh well.
[edit, vol2] And jazzmando... No one mentioned the Del Vecchio, though! LOL

Thanks for posting this Darrell. I like Marcos playing a lot and have never seen him on Tenor guitar to date. I new it only from photos. This gives me some more encouragement to introduce my reso tenor into my choro band one day.
It's interesting that there seems to be these two enclaves where the tenor guitar has a living, albeit small, tradition. In Texas, as a rythm instrument and in Brazil, as a melody instrument.
Then there is Irish tune playing on Tenor, but that seems to be a more recent development.

I hear Sims Delaney-Pothoff of the Madison WI swing group Harmonious Wail has been playing some tenor guitar tuned like an octave mandolin. Seems like a great choice for "jazz octave mando"!
Great playing and beautiful tone on the YouTube clip!
