I'm new here so how am I to delete or edit a locked thread?

I'm very sorry to have violated a rule!

Mack you might take a look at the Posting Guidlines. (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=23;t=13100)
They won't give you any instructions on deleting a thread but they might help you in future posts.

Thanks Cooper and Bill

If I could edit it I'd say I would give the book to the first person who showed any interest http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
But then since this will fade into obscurity I'll simply let it. Besides the book may become rare someday and I'll put it on Ebay...
But I will watch my steps and observe the rules religiously!

Did you ever show your comma mandolin to Pete Langdell?

Looks way too much like the Rigel I-110 (http://www.rigelinstruments.com/rogues/article_148.shtml).

Not to my knowledge.
I did have that mandolin in The Great Divide in Aspen for a while in the 80's. Sandy nicknamed it the Comma kazi

My design was concocted at lunchtime on a workday. I sketched it on a scrap of paper and started construction that very day. I think I may even have purchased Siminoff's book from Sandy.

I guess there is some resemblance except for the color, the cut away, the tuning head, the radiused fingerboard, and...
