I was listening to The Doors yesterday and realized that one of their greatest songs "Running Blue" had some great mandolin and fiddle work. I don't know if this song has been mentioned before in the "mando in rock songs" thread, if so, sorry. If not, check it out...great song by a really great band. Thanks for being here. # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif Jim

Jesse McReynolds did some Doors session work, That may have been one of his,I think I remember him being credited for that; was that the Soft Parade album?

It sure was MandoSquirrel, on both counts. It was The Soft Parade, and it was Jesse McReynolds and well as Jimmy Buchanan on fiddle. Overall this was a great Lp...and to me, it could be on any top ten or twenty list. Jim
