Recently purchased a new 815 and I am very pleased with it. However, I seem to be having a little trouble keeping the e and a string in tune during a gig. Maybe my playing style but just wondered if a tuner upgrade might help this. I am playing the factory set up except for re-locating the bridge for proper intonation. Could it be the nut or the bridge slots causing this? Strings are J74's.

I play classic bluegrass and things get going pretty good at times. I may just be beating it out of tune.

Eastman's site indicates Schaller tuners.

Would appreciate any thougts.

if you have the mechanism given a bit of try lube and it tunes up smoothly , the string changes get locked in well by back-winding the strings so they stay in place and don't slip, then retuning is just part of life.
