What a great bunch of folks. All are very friendly and made me feel right at home. Mike Bunting is a heck of a nice guy and I loved his Collings. It's all straight bluegrass. No accordian, harmonica or percussions. Seems like there's alot of banja players. They gave me a nice cap and we picked for over 5 hrs -and there was still light out when I left at 11:00pm. -I can't get over it. I may stay up here an extra week to drive 2 days to see the 24hr day. which can work very well if my client decides to go to production before I leave. -Then it's on them.

It makes me appreciate the Cafe that much more each time I meet somebody from here. -Never a disappointment

I enjoyed meeting Tom and dug the fact the I was able to meet a fellow Cafe guy. How cool is the Cafe that a couple of mando players from damn near half a continent apart can hook up for a simple night of enjoyment picking tunes? We swapped mandos for a couple of tunes and I played a very nice BRW, a mando I had only ever read about. A couple of hours north will give you a taste of the long sun, but a 2 hour flight would really put you in the Land of the Midnight Sun.
