Could some MT owners out there help me out a bit? #Bought a new MT a while back, and have decided to spruce her up a bit. #I will really appreciate any advice / suggestions from your experiences on the following:

Pickguard #- #I would like to put one on before I damage the top. #Did a quick search and all I found was tortoise material guards, but I would really like one in ebony. #

Arm rest #- #I really notice how much my right arm dampens the top. #Looking for an arm rest, maybe that matches the guard.

Action #- #She plays pretty easy but I think the action could be a bit lower. #How much can I drop down from factory set-up?

Thanks in advance for your replies and advice.

action-just turn thumbwheels #clockwise
pickguard-i'd go with an abreviated ebony one - see pic below.
arm rest. simple cumberland acoustic in ebony i think does the job without taking up too much space (also in pic)

You can drop down as far as you want but I'd try to keep it above the point where the frets buzz. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I had someone custom order one of these for their A9.

I got a Doug Edwards ebony armrest from the classifieds and it's been a pleasure. I got the armrest to change my angle of attack. As for the pickguard, I want to wear a hole in the top of my MT!

Best upgrade is a more talented owner/player!

Good Luck!http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
