Beautiful area, plenty of camping, not much else in the way of accommodations unless you've made plans well in advance, good stage area, well run, lots of "parkin' lot pickin'" in the campgrounds.
I'd say it's worth the trip at least as much as any other festival.

love it! always great music. lots and lots of picking. plus its so beautiful up there.

Outstanding Festival. Primitive Camping at the festival, regular campground about 10 miles away that usually isn't full, but I am staying at a new hotel in Ruckersville, VA this year for this one and driving up every day. I must be getting older, LOL.
Always has the best performers in a beautiful setting. This is one of the larger festivals in the state of Virginia. I would say its worth the trip.
