Thanks Russ ----- I like the way Alan's site opens up. His arrangement of EPB is one of my favorites. Lp

Thanks Russ, you beat me to it! By the way, been wondering where you hang out. Last time I tried to email you it bounced... kinda like a Godbey Lodge check...

The Bibey site should be "live" in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

I saw him over in Texas few years ago and he was playing a Loar.

Lane and all,

The cut is Evening Prayer Blues from Alans "In The Blue Room" CD from 2000. I believe he used two mandolins on the track and not sure what they were. This was recorded in 2000 and the Gibson Signature didn't go into production until 2004. Currently, Alan plays (mostly) a 1923 Loar on stage.

You all should visit the Alan Bibey site, http://www.alanbibey.net

Way too much fun over there, and Alan tells of an up-coming project he and Hershel Sizemore will be doing, that should be cool!

Alan's gonna be at Kaufman Kamp again this year. He's one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. I'll be watching and learning in his class again and hoping that I can pick up 1/100 of what he can do!
