Wow, a Pomeroy for $1750. If I had the money it would be gone. I bought Don's personal mandolin #41 and It is honestly amazing. I think he's one of the best builder around.

This seem's like a good deal even if the neck was damaged.

So you have no personal knowledge of the mandolin listed in the classifieds? Frank

I was going to buy this mandolin a few years ago. Then I ran into Pomeroy #13 and fell in love. Technically #8 isn't a Pomeroy. It is made by Don and is a fine mandolin. #13 is the first of Don's mandos to have the Pomeroy name. Since Don repaired it I'm sure there's no issues with the head and that hummingbird inlay is sweet. I'd take him up on the new neck. I don't know what it currently sounds like but it's worth the $1750.

IT PROBABLY WOULD BE A GREAT DEAL IF YOU COULD GET HIM TO ANSWER YOU. I HAVE SENT TWO MESSAGES AND NO RESPONSE YET.
MAY BE THAT HE'S SOLD IT ALREADY.

No flaming Don please. We email now and then since I have #79 - it usually takes a day or longer for a response. I presume he limits time spent on the computer. A wise man.
