We are happy to announce that we have just completed posting onto the
internet background information on almost 400 performing artists, business
people, and organizations with a connection to the Cincinnati/Dayton
region
who have been influential in the history of bluegrass music.

Visit www.bgrass.org and scan entries on the familiar (Osborne Brothers,
Larry Sparks, Red Allen, Frank Wakefield, King Records) and the
influential
but lesser-known (Carlos Brock, Hot Mud Family, Crystal Pistol, Jack
Lynch,
Blazing Stump, Boatwhistle McIntyre, Herzog Studio). You'll be amazed to
learn how much of bluegrass music's rich history has taken place in
southwestern Ohio!

Scholars, fans, and future generations will be thankful for this massive
online resource, to be updated and improved in years to come.

The lion's share of research and writing was performed by Russell "Mac"
McDivitt, a southwestern Ohio collector and disc jockey whose encyclopedic
knowledge of the subject matter is now available to the entire world.

Miami University Hamilton graciously donated web space, design, and
hosting.

Thanks Leigh Ann! I got your Email and the site is a wonderful idea. I plan to get in there and do some research.

I would encourage anyone with information to add to it to get a hold of the folks running this thing.
