Recently, (this past Saturday) the last of my two daughters got married.
It brought an opportunity for a friend of mine who lives 500 miles away, and I, to visit together in my home.
We have played and sung together since we were 12, and I thought, since we are now fifty, that I would share a photo which was taken this weekend. (Sometimes I pull out the photos of the two of us and lay them along side this one, to see just how dang old we've gotten).
Enjoy!!

Jaydee: Was a WONDERFUL wedding that went off without too many "hitches." The "Father/Daughter dance broke me up.

What, no fendy strap? Probably has a plant in it.
Just joshing, Soupy. My daughter turned 17 yesterday, can't wait for what you just went through. Congratulations!

speaking of the "Father/Daughter" dance (although I realize it has absolutely NOTHING to do with mandolins, and I apologize ahead of time for that):

AlanN: When they ask for the "big bucks" wedding....offer her a $2,000.00 bribe to go to Vegas and get married in the Elvis Chapel!! It'll save you a TON of money and hassle. (teehee)

I would definitely do that, but my wife would definitely not!

Soupy - congratulations on all things daughter/marriage-related. Hopefully you've gained a great son-in-law as well.
Glad you got some picking in with an old friend too.
Nice picture of the father-daughter dance. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Soupy,
Congrats on the wedding. My oldest son just got engaged and we're so excited. I hope you guys in the photo were in the same key, cause something caused that dog to turn white as a ghost!

Twin daughters? And a third one coming along behind? Here's your most cost-effective solution. A $50 extension ladder leaned up against their bedroom window. And then hope that they elope!
