Anybody know what the fretboard radius is on a Collings MT?

Thanks.

I think it is quite radical near the nut like 5 1/4". You don't really feel it on a narrow neck like a mandolin though.
5 1/4 would be crazy on a guitar. Older strats are 7 1/4"

I believe that they are compound and flatten out as you move towards the bridge.

Man, it sure does not feel that radiused to me, but I am not that experienced a mandolin player. I thought that it was probably a 12-14" radius. I bought mine used so maybe it is not standard.

What about fret size? On the small side or larger?

This question was asked back in May of 2004. A poster said he checked with Collings and the radius is a compound, 4.97339" at the nut, 8.90" at 12th fret. I would say it is obviously done by CNC, given the precision. Cafe' searches are a great thing, BTW.
