I always wondered what happened to Lenny and Squiggy. They haven't aged well. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Well I think it's pretty cool http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I'm not about to modify my bowlback, but I'll give it to them for doing something different.

Nice conversion job, though, even filled in the holes for the other 4 string pegs.
licks still sounds high-guitarish though, may be tuned like one.

a spare out behind, too.

Everybody marches to their own drummer. At least they're out there doing it.

It's all musical expression

Was that an old bowl or a flat back? Regardless, it was pretty cool. I liked his pseudo whammy bar hand motions. Link Wray does the e-mando...

Agreed!!!!

I was also wondering....

...is he also playing with a distortion pedal?

NO. Everybody knows REAL electric mandolins have FIVE strings and SIX tuning pegs!

It looked like he was playing mandolin shapes and he's a violin/violist, so my guess is that that thing, which appears to be a flat-back, was tuned like a mandolin. I went to their web site and heard some more stuff by them. Decent but not awe-inspiring. To me, that video has some nice moments but they are few are far between, and I love electric blues.
