Should I trade my old (lowly) Loar mando (or perhaps three Loars)for this C.F. Martin OM-45 beauty?

(OOOOPS" sorrry...it is a C.F. Martin OM-45 not a Weber!)

Weber? The link is to a Martin...heck yea...trade your Loars...they are just some ###### old mandolins made by that Gibson Company everyone grips about around here...no customer service, prices through the ceiling, not hand crafted...the list is endless. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

That is a sweet looking guitar!

Loars? Who knows if the guy who signed as an acoustic engineer even had credentials for such a spurious claim. Trade up!

Well, maybe not. The headstock didn't say CF Martin and I didn't see the label. No trial period either. I was going to make an offer for $500.00 (twice the original selling price so that's fair) but the guy only has a history of 3 items and I don't think I trust the seller.

"Museum of Musical Instruments" is apparently the nom de plume of collector Hank Risen, who just listed a Loar and some other (incredibly expensive) instruments on eBay a while ago.
Here's an extensive thread (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=27;t=42301) on the subject from the "Vintage" forum.
