Sullivan owners and fans -- We're organizing an event in support and appreciation of John. Will involve an afternoon of performances w/Sullivan instruments, and display of his craftmanship (under watchful security). Big party, lots of music! Would like to have as many of his creations and his friends on hand as possible. An event like this has been a long time coming, and local folks are rallying 'round!

Sunday April 29th 2 -6:00, Wonder Ballroom, Portland, Oregon

Even if you can't attend, consider having your instrument displayed. RSVP to me back-channel to discuss shipping and security, and with any other questions.

John is providing me a list of his customers/clients who we'll be trying to contact directly, as well -- hope to see you!

Wow-wish I could be a part of this great event. I love my sullivan. More and more each day - can't send it as I will need it that weekend, but would definately provide some pics if that is helpful.

James, Makes me wish I had a Sullivan. Good luck with this event and please give John my best. He does build a killer instrument. Unfortunately that's the same day I have Steve Smith and Hard Road in town for a concert and workshops. Kenc

do people know why this event is occuring?

OK, John is a proud gentleman and prefers that not many details be announced. But this has to do with his struggle with a progressing very serious health condition. The event is in part to raise funds to defray medical expenses, and in part to boost him! RSVP to me back channel and we can discuss more... Jim

Who's playing, JB? Not that it'll matter, Janet and I will be there. Let me know what else we can do, too.
