Are there any good sized music stores in Boulder, CO? Not a big corporate Guitar Center-type store, but one that has a full selection of high quality instruments from many different makers (not just mandos, but guitars, banjos, basses and yes, even electric instruments http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif ). I'm just curious if it's an oversaturated market or not. It seems to me from what I can find on the net that Woodsongs is the best around there. They seem like a nice store, but I mean a little bigger with a wider selection. Any help would be appreciated.

IMO, You will get a far better selection at Old Town Pickin' Parlor in Arvada. Nothing against Woodsongs, but if you're looking for a larger showroom, you'll find it in Arvada. However, I'm not too sure on their selection of electrics especially if you're hunting for a Strat.

Yep. the Olde Town Pickin Parlor has a better selection than Woodsongs. #You might also want to check out the Folklore Center in Denver. #I hear they have some good stuff, though I've never been there. #Here's a great website that may also have some more info on stores in the area. #They might have some stores on there that are business members...

I don't know if any of those would have electric instruments though. #For those I'd head to Wildwood Guitars in Louisville. #They have a great selection, and everyone I know thats shopped there have great reviews. If you have something specific in mind, ask them though, because their entire inventory isn't on display. Too small of a storefront...

Robb's in Boulder is a pretty good music shop with a "local" vibe; unlike Woodsong's (which is acoustic only) Robb's has electric guitars/basses, PA gear, keyboards, etc. in addition to Martin and other acoustic guitars. Not much in the way of mandos beyond some Koreans (Fender etc). I agree with all of the above re: OTPP and Wildwood.
