Is that the old one? Why are his eyes so red? Hmmm. Great video and instruction on that. That "Grey Eagle" second break is to die for.

unbelievable...funiiest part is he makes a whole chapter on the dvd about tuning and how electronic tuners are ok to use but really one should rely on the ear...
I think he starts out closer to standard but drifts.
Although ultimately the responsibility for A440 rests with Sam; Happy as tour guide should have verified his tuning somewhere along the way. I'm sure there is lot of down time
during filming and Happy could have said "hey Sam just do me a favor and make sure you are in 440" Perhaps he did and they were already halfway through http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Another thought I always had is that in subsequent pressings why can't Homespun vari-speed the tape to get it in A440.
His mando is in tune with itself. The playing is fantastic.
