I've seen Leftover a few times and Drew's band as well, I was so happy to hear that they were back (with Noam Pickelny on banjo) and touring this year!
hope they get out to ohio! (i'm thinking, or hoping they will play Nelson Leges Quarry Park)
didn't know about this- one of my favs-
time to check the sched on line!
thanks,
ira
I'm getting my High Sierra tickets tickets today! Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain, Del McCoury, Chris Thile and How to Grow a Band, the Waybacks, Hot Buttered Rum, and Strings for Industry (?Darol Anger, Scott Law, and Tony Furtado)! And that's just the mando friendly bands (whoops - can't forget Christian and Blue Turtle Seduction).
But mainly for me it's all about Leftover Salmon back together. # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Double duty for Pikelny and Garrison?
I sort of figured this "Leftover back together" confirmed that Thile would be spending the rest of the year finishing off the Nickel Creek activity and not much HTGAB/TMB. That may still be the case, it may just mean some spot shows here and there, no tours.
So far LoS only has High Sierra and something called the All Good Music Festival in West Virginia on their schedule (although nobody seems to have told All Good - LoS is not on the website schedule). So they're probably working around Naom and Greg's commitment to Chris. I won't mind getting to see some extra Pikelny banjo work.
