Just a quick note to let everyone know that a very very nice early fern will be available soon. This is one of the cream of the crop 84xxx ones like Bobby Osbornes. Essentially the best period for true post Loar Ferns and the style that Gibson had in mind when they so faithfully introduced the new "Ferns" This instrument has the gold Loar style hardware and the Loar period fern inlay with white binding and the Maroon/wine to gold signature finish. The price will be around $70k

Serious interest only can be sent to:
darryl.wolfe@parsons.com

and I'll forward it to the owner. I'll let him make the official post in the classifieds.

No it isn't Tommy..it's Jim Smith's Feb 23. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

The Fern sold in one hour after the word was spread. The selling price was more than the figure I mentioned due to the demand for these little puppies. Congratulations to Gary Brown on raising the funds needed to upgrade to a nice Feb '23 Loar and also to the Seattle crew on the acquisition of a very fine Fern
