Greetings Folks

Here is a link to the recorded music at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. A lot of real neat stuff here.

Thanks Sellars

It is a great site for Old Time Music, done by old time musicians. I don't remember how I found it. I could have gotten from here at the Cafe. Glad you enjoy it.

Cooper4025,

Hey, thanks for that great link!! I play Old Time fiddle, and this gives me some great historical context so that I can better understand the modern players.

As an aside, I have followed your comments about the ETSU Bluegrass program. I grew up in Kingsport, played in the orchestra through high school, and was never exposed to bluegrass or old time music. Got bored and gave up the violin in the 11th grade, only to take it back up with a vengeance 25 years later as an old time fiddle. It's great to see that you didn't fall into the same trap.

Thanks again!

Jim Sims
