I've been told that the Shadow Systems bridge on my Fender FM62e is a "low-end" piezo bridge. Do you all think i'd get better sound from replacing that bridge with a Fishman bridge? Or is a piezo a piezo?

pretty much, fishman and schatten lay a strip of piezoelectric ceramic, in the top piece of the bridge.

RMC is different, its a rather extensive Modification,
but 4x 2 notch 'acoustic gold'piezo pickups is what Godin buys for their a8.
a luthier [RMC lists some] can make a bridge top section to implant them in the proper intonated location, and make the 4 signal leads under each piece go where the need to be.
and RMC supplies an onboard pre-amp [godin uses that too] that could resolve the pre amp situation also..
but they are just holes, its a tool to make music , right? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blues.gif
