I don't know how far you are interested in driving. There is one posted to folkjam.org in Louisville.
folkjam.org Frankfort start page (http://www.folkjam.org/?start=frankfort,ky)
You might want to register with us and set your profile to mail you when new jams are added in your area. This way when somebody posts something near Frankfort you'll find out right away.

Thank you Scott. I live in Columbus Ohio, but travel to Frankfort 1-3 days a week and looking for peoeple to play BG at night while I am there. I play mandolin and am a Intermediate Level.
I just registered on folkjam

Welcome. I believe we have one post in Columbus. Was that session one you already knew about? (just curious)
Your scenario is pretty much why we built the site. I pack my fiddle (flight) or my dual mando/fiddle case (driving) when I travel for my job as a software engineer. The drill of calling music stores and teachers is probably one that you know well and takes a lot of effort. This site is certainly opening up opportunities to play in a lot of cities.

Well, interesting your profession. I sell software to the State of KY. I work for Novell. I do attend a jam session in basement of Bluegrass Store in Columbus on Saturdays. It is awesome. Very good players go there. They are tolerant of my level. It is a blast.

Here's a link to some jams in the area. #Georgetown, Lawrenceburg, and Lexington are just a few miles from Frankfort.
