Hi all!

Is there anyone who is also going to the European World of Bluegrass festival in Voorthuizen, the Netherlands on 20 - 22 may?

I'm going the 22nd. If there are any other mandolincafe people going, maybe we can get together and have a beer (or a http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/coffee.gif, depending on the time http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif)

hope to see you there!
Roel

Good idea to post that up here. Unfortunately I can't make it this year.
I am organising the France Spring Bluegrass weekend the week after and have my hands full.
Are you playing in a band there, Sellars?

I wished! But I have only been playng for a year now, so that wouldn't be such a good idea http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

This looks like a fun festival...

Is there camping/jamsite at the festival, or hotels, or ?...

Maybe next year...

I would love to go, but have no money (or, I have to save them for June when I have no income, since I'm a poor student). I have lots of things to do too, I'm preparing for graduation next week. Maybe next year I can go. There are usually a few Swedish bluegrass bands there.

great time indeed.
Highly recommended for anyone traveling through Europe in May. We had a blast.
So nice to meet so many wonderful people!

I wanted to go but 1400km is a little too much travelling for me. I played there in '01 and '02, but I quit playing with a band a year ago. We spent great time there.

Sellars:

I was down there, but it was a last minute thing, and I didn't have a chance to respond in advance. Would have liked to say hi to you. I was the lost soul wandering around with the blue-grey Pegasus case over my shoulder. Had lots of fun, and will probably go back next year. Maybe we can say hi then.

Actually, I wasn't there either http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

at the last moment my mates decided that they were either out of money, or had a family reunion, and I was on my own (without a drivers licence, let alone a car):(

next year though I am planning on volunteering to work there, so I'll know I wont be there on my own.

well, next year better http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
