Anyone know if Breedlove SNs indicate year of manufacture?
My label says "3793". I thought it was fairly new when I bought it, and I'm trying to estimate it's value.
Bob....they are in the 6700's now

Here is an interesting site
#Dateing service (http://www.ducksdeluxe.com/datesvc.html)
Mostly guitar stuff, but some crossover.
For breedlove it states that the first two # are the yr. of manufactuer. Guess thats wrong.
By the way ,my wife saw this site listed in my bookmarks. It made for an interesting conversation.

Thanks guys; I doubt that the 93 indicates the year although I seem to remember it was a ninety something.
Looks like I might have to let her go and was trying to get a real value for it.

I second calling Breedlove. I have one of their mandolins and they are very nice people - I'll bet they will help you.

Hi, Mandobob. Tell me, is this Breedlove a Quartz OO with black binding, and does it have a little nick on the headstock just below the upper D tuner? The other day I noticed a warranty card in my desk, and was wondering who owns that instrument now. Just checked and sure enough, serial # 3793.
I bought it from Buffalo Brothers in October, 2001, and I believe it was made that year. The Allen tailpiece is not original, btw.

What's better then calling Breedlove? The original owner taking some time to contact you directly.
This is a great community!
Thanks a million Jamie.
