Hi, I have been playing guitar 40 years. All of a sudden I have this crazy urge to play mandolin. Can anyone advise a good instructional video that will get me on my way? Thanks, I look forward to being a mando cafe member...

If you are itching to watch something right away you can check some out online at the MusicMoose.
Here (click) (http://www.musicmoose.org/component/option,com_alphacontent/Itemid,32/section,12/cat,22/) is the beginning mandolin index. If you have trouble playing their videos over the web, down near the bottom of the page they put a link to download the MOV file, which will play in QuickTime and maybe some other players.

I like the Butch Baldassari videos a lot. Depending on how well you play guitar, they may be a bit too elementary for you.
