Hi,
I came across this free Podcast and really like it. It's called " Miscelânea Vanguardiosa Podcast"
A guy named Ricardo Sá Reston puts it together in both English and Portuguese, so you can listen to either version.
In each broadcast he briefly discusses a new CD, talks about the players, styles, and significance of the recording, then plays some great Brazilian instrumental music.
This is a link (http://www.miscvanguard.blogspot.com/)to the English language version.
Here's (http://www.miscelaneavanguardiosa.com/audio/25e.m3u)a link to a recent Podcast featuring "New Choros of Brazil."

Miscelânea 25 - New Choros of Brazil
On the week of our monthly CD recommendation show, we'll listen to Harvey Wainapel and Paulo Bellinati's New Choros of Brazil, a beautiful and delicate collection of Brazil's modern choro compositions and composers.
1-Aos Amigos do Trio (Sérgio Santos)
2-Choro do Adeus (Nelson Ayres)
3-O Cabo Pitanga (Laércio de Freitas)
4-Simpática (Ricardo Peixoto/Claudio Villela)
5-Pra Quem Quiser me Visitar (Guinga/Aldir Blanc)
6-Seu Laércio na Cozinha (Harvey Wainapel)
Ricardo is also a really nice guy, and loves to hear from people about the show. I mentioned Choro and mandolin to him and he told me this:
Let me know when you come to Brazil, in Rio we have the Choro School, maybe you could get some classes there, you would meet a lot of Choro players and masters around there... And they offer some vacation courses really cheap, so I think you'd be interested if coming to Brazil. Hamilton has done a lot of workshops there, and the teachers are all big names of todays Choro in Brazil. If it interests you, here's the page: http://www.escolaportatil.com.br/ no English version, but it may help...
If you check out the Podcast and like it send him an email to let him know. He's doing this as a labor of love.
