I made this petition to try to encourage Chris Thile and Sugar Hill Records to transcribe and publish all of Thile's albums. If you have any interest in getting your hands on some Thile sheet music, please sign this online petition......it takes 10 seconds and is truly hassle-free...no account creating:) .

This post might come off as a little rude but I don't intend it that way–
Online Petitions have an abysmal record of success. To my knowledge I don't know of any online petition that has ever succeeded. So I think you might be going about this the wrong way.
What I would suggest is to first send a few friendly emails to the people at Sugar Hill asking them if they have anything in the pipeline and hope for a response. Sugar Hill's fairly small so I think might get in touch with someone. Alternately you could start an email campaign - basically doing the same thing you're doing now but instead of just having the "results" all on one website like petitiononline, the label sees the results in their inboxes, which I think has more of a chance of making a difference. Good luck and for the record I hope we do see some books like this in the future! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I thank all of you who have signed thus far, and I'm very interestd in Garnet's idea to make an e-mail petition. I'm not exactly sure how to pull something like that off. If someone receives the e-mail and doesn't forward it, do all those signatures get lost? Maybe someone could explain how one would begin a successful e-mail petition campaign.

try this e-mail address
info@REMOVEFORNONSPAMsugarhillrecords.com take the REMOVEFORNOSPAM out of the address and e-mail to your heart's content. In your e-mails you may want to put a link to this thread... Good luck grass-roots new-grassers.

Chris did tell me he lurks here in the cafe. Maybe he will read this. He does have a MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/christhile) account. You could contact him directly from there.
