I collaborated with a talented seamstress (my mom) to create an ideal strap. I had a leather braided one, but I like the look and feel of this one much better.

Don't sell yourself short. That is an original design, something conceived in your mind and executed by your hands (or your mom's!) Can't beat that.

That looks great. I love the embroidery. I, too, prefer a flat strap and like to make my own from leather. I would love to try to encorporate that kind of viny/scrolly stitching into mine to add a little flavor. Since it's leather, though, it have to be a little simpler. If I ever pull it off, I'll post pics and be sure to give you (and your mom) some design credit! Good stuff! Originality is a fine thing...

Thanks. It wasn't actually done by hand. My mom just has this fancy sewing machine with the design preset. There goes most of its originality. I still love it anyway.
