Well I quess no one has seen a 1 piece top on old Gibsons, but I tell ya there is no center seam on this one, and even the grain lines have a slight curve that crosses that center line area. Could this be the only one in existance? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Hello Michael,
My 1917 F2 also has a one piece top, aren't they great sounding mandolins ?

Thanks alot Peter, I thought I was crazy, I didn't know that there were any mandolins with a 1 piece top, backs sure but not top. The one I have also is a great sounding one. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

One-piece tops are fairly common on the teens Gibsons (both As and Fs), but usually difficult to spot.
I have a '17 A1 with a one-piece top....
Nice mandolin.
