The link doesn't work. Try this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220072608039) or even better

http://i7.ebayimg.com/06/i/08/52/4e/02_1_b.JPG

I wonder if it has a case... ouch you could hurt yourself.

Looks to me like somebody left that poor Rigel out in the road. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am pretty sure that this is not a one-off instrument. I have seem a few of these sold by various seller on eBay. Possibly originated in a country that prizes its gladiator movies. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Looks like some one made a poor mimeograph of the gold tone copy of the Rigel mando. I've seen this on eb$y before. Not a one off at <$200. The fingerboard looks alot like the one on my Johnson...

I live in Houston and I called them, the item is available for pick up locally. Just for the H _ _ _ of it I might just go buy one. I have spent $75 bucks in worse ways. Who knows, it might be ok. Just kidding about the ok

Or where product liability lawsuits are not such a well-honed craft.

If I lived near the vendor, I might go buy one. Haven't we already gotten $75 worth of entertainment? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/coffee.gif

Sort of a weird mix of design elements: a body with the horns from Viking helmet and a Florentine headstock. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

I figure the maker wanted to make SURE that the cutaway was big enough that you could get your hand into it. None of those "wimpy" cutaways for him!

Paint it black, insert skull and bones inlay, install humbucker, plug into 50W Marshall head, tease hair (if you have any)and wear spandex.

Bound to get you on the cover of the new Musicians Friend catalog.
