Do any of you use the Mozilla Thunderbird software for your email needs? Is it as secure as FireFox?

JLP, Thunderbird is my email tool of choice and I really like it. No problems to report at all.

It's put out by the same group of people. I would think it would be as secure, if not more secure, than Firefox. Of course, we're talking browser versus email client, each has its own issues to deal with.

When I'm not at work, I just use the browser and keep all the mail on my service provider's site.

Firefox and Thunderbird are Linux programs that work on Windows. Usually the bugs that get into Microsoft don't affect the Linux programs. I used both for about a Year and had no problems..

Firefox and Thunderbird for several years has convinced me to stay with it. If in doubt, switch back over to Microsoft http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif for a little while.

I use Firefox almost exclusively. I like Thunderbird too, but I constantly had problems with Thunderbird and Window Media Player running at the same time. Maybe it's just my cheap Dell and not the software conflicting, but I uninstalled Thunderbird and went back to Outlook for email. Far fewer problems.
