Mandolin builder poindexter

I am looking for information on mandolins made by Hal Poindexter. I bought one of his first in 1967 and wanted to see if he is still building. He made mine while he was in So Calif, but moved to So Carolina shortly after that.Does anyone know how many he made or how to contact him? I need some modifications done on it.

Is Hal short for Halbert? There is one in Texas.
