So a couple weeks ago I noticed that the quick in my index and middle fingures (left hand) was seperated further back than normal (quick is where the fingurenail and the skin of your fingure meet). Normally it would look like a nicely curved "U" following the contour of my nail. Now it sorta endents right in the middle back towards the knuckle. It's only 1/8 of a centimeter I guess - but that's a lot on a fingurenail!

I thought I had just injured them working around the house and they would heal up back to normal. Not the case - they are still where they where. They seem to get a bit better - then tend to seperate back to where they where. The issue is they are a bit painful which makes pickin difficult.

I take good care of my nails. I don't bite them and never cut them too short. They don't have any fungus I can see and other than those 2 fingures - look quite healthy.

I know I sound like a mutent. Anyone seen this before or have some treatment options?

This happens to me from time to time from having my fingernails cut too short, or if I get something jammed into my fingers just under the nails. If it is too painful to pick, I put a little super glue right in there to keep the finger and nail together until it grows out. Been doing it for 30 years.
