Hey Folks,
My band and I are working on a pretty simple VU medley consiting of White Light/White Heat, After Hours, Sunday Morning. Having great fun with white light. Vamping away at full speed along with a guitar, droning fiddle and psychotic banjo really seems to suit the song http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Anyways, im working on the melodic rift under Sunday Morning and having some trouble picking it out by ear, probably do too the unfamiliar register. Anyone know the key, or even better, at the initial rift?

Thanks a ton

Right on, fangsdaddy!
I think Brian Eno is credited with saying that "everyone who bought the first Velvet Undeground album went out and formed a band."
That cracks me up.
I wish I could help you, Blork. I've got no clue what notes go into those songs... they just sound great.
If you ever get a chance to link your mando VU jam, please send it along! I'd love to hear it!!

Sunday Morning is one of my favorites and could be right for the mandolin.

I still did the Velvets, seen John Cale and band,Lou a couple of times in the 80's, did lights for Nico when I worked at the Whiskey Au Go Go in 1980.

Ah Sunday Morning.......a perfect song by a great band.
