eBay Custom F Style

I'm new to the board and I'm looking for a custom f style mandolin. What do you guys& gals think about this one? It's on eBay.

It doesn't look bad although the binding work may be a bit sloppy according to the photos. It's hard to tell how it will sound and that part would scare me off a bit. The neck joint doesn't appear to have the traditional appointment indicating a dovetail joint. You see this on 70's period Ibanez, Alverez, etc. There is a better chance of getting a good sounding instruments if you buy a known maker or brand. It's not a guarantee, of course, just better odds.
