Just got back from a killer jam - three mandolins, four fiddles, a banjo played claw hammer, three guitars, and a hammered dulcimer.

Lots of great great tunes, from "Nail that Catfish to a Tree" to "Forked Deer" to various Christams Classics like, "Do you hear what I hear".

Just a wonderful time - and I thought of all of you, and I hope you are having a wonderful happy and healthy mando-party as well.

Talk to you next year.

Jeff

Sounds like a lot of fun! I had to work, but I'm home now and will do some picking soon as I have a libation or 2 to unwind. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I just got up with my four year old son, I got up at 0630 am as he wanted his breakfast. Me my pregnant wife and my son were at a small party until 0300 am this morning my son slept in the hosts room mostly. I got to play music at the party with my wife and an old time fiddler, it was fun.

Went to our church annual Chili New Year's party. Played some gospel tunes and filled up on chili and cornbread. My daugther really smoked on the fiddle (the only thing she does "smoke") http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Had a mental New Years Eve. Beer and karaoke ( I normally have a low tolerance of karaoke, but this was a great local community evening, so I made an exception!).

Got to bed about 3am.

Happy New Year, all.
