This is a genuine Gibson F5-G Serial # 10525040. The websites I've visited for dating purposes couldn't help me on this.

I also have an A-model Serial # 8138 bound top, unbound back, Lyre label inside. ( Reads Patented Febrary first 1898) again the sites I've found don't seem to help for this instrument.

Any help out there?

Thanks.

The F5G would be a 2001 model. Is the A oval or f holed?

Should be 1907.

I believe that was made May 25, 2001, the 4th instrument off the line that day.
