Hoping to find some other intermediate level mandolin players to jam with at Mandofest this year. #The previous three years all the players I've hung out with are top-notch mandolinists way beyond my skill level. #I'll be at the Marriott and will have a ton of sheet music (everything from Bluegrass to O'Carolan) with me if you're interested in getting together inbetween the workshop, concerts, etc. #Contact me by PM or public post here and hope to see you all at the festival this year. #It's going to be one of the best yet!

I will be sending out an email blast to all of the John Reischman Workshop attendees later today. I will copy some of the information and post it below. Please note that the workshop has been sold out for months although we had a few last minute cancellations and those slots were quickly filled with waiting list members.

Couple of special notes in addition to the concerts:

Thursday - if you're arriving Thursday we have a room reserved upstairs at the Free State Brewing Company for dinner. 636 Massachusetts Street. Right around the corner from the Marriott. Come down and enjoy the company of fellow Mandofest attendees.

Saturday morning - Mass Street Music open house/breakfast for Mandofest attendees, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the store, 1347 Massachusetts. No reservations necessary - just show up and enjoy the company of fellow mandolin players, and some coffee/juice, breakfast, etc. Bring the family. Free t-shirts, much mando petting.

I've never to Mandofest, but I'm with Jim, just a little intimidated by the good players. A nice intermediate jam would be good. I'm also staying at the Marriott, even though I'll be getting in late Thursday and don't know if I'll make the get together at the brewery. I'm really looking forward to the workshop. Should be a great time. Now I need to squeeze in a few holes of golf in Lawrence. Busy, busy!

Golf of Mandolin? I'm so confused. Dan
