I've noticed that my Epi MM-50 (I just lost all the Gibson votes..lol), is more responsive and more user-friendly when I'm working through a "Lead" than when I'm playin Chords.
I'm not sure why, but when playin Chords either the neck is less forgiving, and demands a firmer, more exact location pressure of the fingers, or it's just "me" (and I'm sure its a bit of that, since I'm a rookie on the mando), not aclimating well.
On the OTHER side of the coin, when I'm playin my MK, the issue goes away.
