How is this slide executed? Do you play the open E and then play the double stop at the 4th/5th fret with a slide to the 7th fret? The book says this is a slide up to a unison note and it should be played as fast as grace notes, almost simultaneously.
E 0 0
A /7
D
G

Usually one would slide from the 5th fret, but coming from an E major chord you could slide from the 6th fret on the A string. Usually the /7 would include a fret before the / to denote where to start.

The chord before the slide is A major and the chord it's in is E major. The song is Old Joe Clark.
