My friend found this instrument in her dad's music room when she was doing some spring cleaning. When she asked her dad, he said someone gave it to him and they thought it was from the early 1900's. There's no info on the instrument itself at all. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks.

get a bridge for that sucker and fresh strings [see a past post on replica bridges for a Vega Banjo Mandolins intonation offsets will help as notes will be more on pitch.

and a nice straw hat that is period correct and it doubles as a tip basket.
