Actually, I went out to the garage tonight <just> to sand the kerfing down to the top of the ribs... and then I was <just> going to dry run the clamping setup, but the xyz clamps I had were too short for the rectangular bodyform I'd built... and so I mocked up the setup with the body out of the form & with the spreader inside, using a dozen ungainly spindle clamps I'd made while waiting for the Siminoff book to arrive, a couple of Irwin clamps each on the neckblock & heel block and a couple of large spring clamps (protecting the top with leather from a couple of old shoes I cut up while waiting for the book). #

At that point, I could feel the force... while wiping off the glue drips & squeeze out, my wife came out to the garage to remind me that I need to hit the road at 0530 tomorrow. #I did get a <1/32" shift off midline at the heel, but it's starting to look like a mandolin & maybe it'll play in Peoria... someday.

Guess I'd better let the glue dry.

That's awesome. Good job and I hope the rest of the construction process goes well. Congrats.
