I've earlier posted here looking for music or TAB for a song I need for my folk's Golden Anniversary. Having exhausted all means to come up with sheet music for "If I Had To Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It With You" I have determined this music is unobtainable. I even went so far as to contact Roy Clark's publisher and Roy Clark, Ltd. in Oklahoma. No dice. Therefore I am in the process of reverse engineering the song. You might say reverse composing or De-composing... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Anyways, I have determined it to be written in the key of E Major. I'm not real versed in chord theory and am doing this BGnBG (By Guess 'n By Golly) Two chords I've been able to match to the recording is E Major (naturally) and A Major. I'm having trouble deciphering the others. What other chords work in an E Major song?

The chord scale for the key of E is:
E F#m G#m A B C#m D#dim

Hope that helps.

Also, the usual progressions are
I IV V or E, A, B7 chords
I VI IV or E C#min A, B7
or in more jazz like songs
I VI II V I or E C#min F#min B7 E

Hope that helps
