If this is a tear-drop A shape with f holes, yep, that's a good starter. I began on a similar one, Ibanez, and it got me going.

Not as good as your Kalamazoo though. Why are you bound and determined to get rid of it?

If you are thinking of dropping $100 on one, skip it and go for a mando with a solid top (say, a KM-150s) available all day long on ebay, etc.
