Welcome aboard! I recently bought a custom Bitterroot as well. What finish did you get? Mine is sounding better all the time.

It's a faded leather. It looks like the old flat irons. Sounds great. I got it this past tue.

I have the same finish. The maple flame is awesome and it sets itself apart from all the 'bursts.

Do you have the radius fret board? Mine does. I love it. I play every night when i get home from work. I think i'm driving my wife crazy.

Hi welcome to zee board! I just got a Bitterroot myself, about 2 months ago. Its really a responsive instrument, and I agree, the radius board makes it easier to play. It's my 2nd Mandolin, the first was a Y2k, had it for 3 years & traded it in towards this. I was so happy with Weber for the flat top model that I knew the F would be great too. Think I'll be holding onto this one for the rest of my life, no more searching...

This has gloss finish also, with a Mahogony back & sides, looks like this:

Awesome looking Weber. It looks like my Brothers Yellow stone. I've had mine a week now. And it's already starting to open up.

Mandolin Guy, just please feel free to jump into the community and post threads and responses. #

I was gun-shy for a while, but quickly realized that these folks have the expertise and experience I lack, want to help others, and are pretty darn nice to boot!

I started my journey with the mandolin 9 months or so. #I bought a new MK Firefly and recently purchased a 1916 Gibson A.

Good choice on your first mando. #I wish I would have held off for a while on my first f-style. #

I'm really liking having both an f-style/f-hole and my Gibson A oval hole.

Keep on posting and glad to have you aboard.

Mike
