Hi everyone,
I've decided to build my first Mandolin. I'm only in the planning stages now, as I am making some templates and such.
I was wondering if anyone knew where to get checkered binding? I've looked at all of the websites for Mandolin stuff and cannot find it anywhere.
Is guitar binding the same dimensions as what you would use for a Mandolin?
These questions and more to come....

thanks in advance! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hey Don,
Thanks for that website. It had alot of interesting bindings and inlay supplies.
Most of the patterned bindings were wood though. I was looking for an ivroid type, off white and black, checkered binding. Something that you might see on carved top Rickenbacker guitar (I forget which model).
Anyone else have any ideas?
