Jim Moss started a thread on the Bluegrass, Newgrass, Gospel variants section on the Cafe when he found out about Frank Wakefield's triple bypass surgery at the end of August.
I just wanted to post a couple of pictures on the General Board so Frank's many enemies who may not have seen those posts on the Cafe could wish him bad luck and a long recovery. He doesn't appreciate them at all!

Once Frank regains some strength, I'm sure he'll be writing a tune or 2 about his ordeal. May I suggest a couple of titles?

Play It Ugly, You
Gnarl
Foxtrot in Country

How about "The New Pipes Hornpipe"

or "CatScan"

I think his old standard title will be fine .....Jesus Loves this Mandolin Player with a number......
he has written dozens of instrumentals with this title. Someone oughta record these while
they still can.

He can forget about writin' one called "Walk Softly On This Heart of Mine" (it's already been done). #So has one called "Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On" (not really a bluegrass number, but he could probably fake his way through it). http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

He looks "good to go" for another 70 years, and I'm glad to see him on the mend. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif
