ok,
i just got the rim glued, the kerfing is drying as i type, but i noticed a problem, i should have seen earlier. i noticed that my tail block is off center, should i carefully take it off(which i know that i can take it off without harming anything)or should i use it as it is?
thanx

If it's just a little off center, I'd leave it there. I've worked on old Gibsons with the tailblock up to about 1/2 inch off center. Couldn't tell 'till I took them apart.

thanx sunburst, its only off by a 1/4 inch, i took the old tailpiece from my kentucky and held it up on my center mark, and all the screws will catch mahogany, so i wasnt worried after that.

If there's anything I can add for the new builders, its centerline, centerline, centerline! Keep it marked everywhere all the time. Body and neck. Get a centering rule, that has 6 in. out each direction from a center 0.
