I seem to remember hearing a version of steely dan's do it again on the radio. Anyone knows who recorded it?

Uh, I believe that would be Steely Dan. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Seriously, Tori Amos does a cover of it.

Presumably you mean a mandolin/bluegrass version? I don't know, but if you happen to find out, please post it here.

I'd love to hear that.

Waylon Jennings did a cover of "Do it again". It's been a real long time since I heard that. He did a good job of it.

I'd like to hear him do it again, but what I'd REALLY wanna hear some one play the Elliot Randall "Reelin' In the Years" break on mandolin!

First note of that solo is my favorite single note in all rock guitar history. You've given me a project though. I'm going to attempt to work out that solo for the mando.

I would love to hear and see that! I can just about work out the basic song. It's probably much more playable in fifths.

It's not that hard, really. If I can get around to it, I'll tab it out for you.

I play a lot of Steely Dan on my Schwab. When I figured out the Kid Charlemagne solo, I was ecstatic.

Thank you! That would be cool. I once interviewed Walter Becker, but that was many years ago.
