Hiya, skilled luthiers.

I am hearing some very high pitched, harmonic sounds coming from the strings that run from the nut to the tuners. You know, on the headstock.

This seems like the reason I bought my wood nymph, but it's in the wrong area of my mandolin.

Any tips on how to muffle these sounds?

Thanks

A thick piece of felt or leather under the strings just above the nut should do the trick.
